Eric,
You have to install a suitable Chinese dBASE driver. I know I have seen old postings from PHP
programmers trying to find or make work an English driver for dBASE tables. If you are using
an older version of dBASE tables (say, 4 or 5) you should be able to find a Microsoft
drivers.
You may wish to look at using something other than dBASE tables such as Firebird or some
similar relational database product. Drivers are less of an issue with them.
