Just dBase, unless you find that connecting to nondBase databases too
difficult.

No. See http://webimage.landisc.com. You are getting the images on that
page thru a dBase web applet.

The only thing I have really had to watch is to put a kill timer in the
applet in case it hangs.

Web sites or pages on a website? All images on the website pages of
http://landisc.com are thru a dBase web applet.
