Sorry Charlie,
(I had to do that, in reference to Charlie the Tuna. :) )
I just opened an OpenOffice calc sheet, in Libre Office Calc, and then
Saved As, into a .dbf file. Went to dBASE 2019, and opened the
file...no problem.
Now, that being said, the Libre Office TRIED to save it as "Western
Europe(DOS/OS2-850/International)" Character set, which was weird to me.
I had to manually make it go to the bottom of the list and save as
"Western Europe(Windows-1252/WinLatin1)" Character set. That may be
your problem, as I'm unaware of whether or not, dBASE will understand be
able to read any other character set from Libre Office.

This time instead of the first line of the spreadsheet becoming field names, the field names are the headers of the spreadsheet such as a b c d...... I may have had this problem a long time ago and fixed it somehow. Anyone have a clue on this? Thanks
