I am living in france and my practice of english is not so good. Excuse me for that.
I have developed a program with DBASEIV in 1992 and I want to make it run under DBASE@2019 in a windows 10 or 11 environment. Can someone explain to me how to do this ?
The program I made was working very well in Textile industry and I never  used it after my retirement in 2013.
The principle of this program is to manage the chemicals that I used on cloth and canvas to make various finishings like waterproof,  flameretardent,  fireproof and rotproof for camping use. Various finishings on linen like softening or stabilizating, wet resinated linen etc. etc.  This was also used on wet on wet  process where we have to face with lack of concentrations during the process .
If a formulation uses 2 components A and B at some concentrations we do not empty what remains at the end of the process but keep it in the aim to manage it for future uses. If some days later we have to use a formulation with 3 or more components A B C , an original algorithm in the prog calculate the optimized and maximum amount of bath with A + B we can recover to achieve this new formulation. We also know exactly with the prog how much chemicals we have deposit on the cloth which is a guarantee of quality.
With this program we apply very successfully this quote of Mr LAVOISIER :
" Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed ".
In 1992 this was very ecological  ( at that time nobody spoke of ecology ) and also huge amounts of money were saved with the use of this progam which recycled all the expensive chemicals we used.
We also were able to treat small orders with expensive finishings because we had not to include the cost of the remaining bath in the cost price.
