Is there a command verb I can use in the command window to open and edit my PRJ files? > > Thanks A project file is just an ordinary text file so MODI COMM project.prj in the Command Panel will open the file in the sourcecode editor.  This may, however, not be of much use to you as you will have to work out for yourself where everything goes. You can try reinstalling dBASE Plus 2.8 provided you still have the password.  You can get the actual program from the dBASE website if necessary but you may need to input the password. Although dBASE Plus 2.8 dates from before dBase LLC took over, if you don't have the password customerservice@dbasellc.com may be able to help you. Mervyn.
