It's a Windows message, the exact message when I execute the dbase 2019 from either the screen icon or the /bin exe.

dBASE 2019 Executable has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

The error does show in the Windows Event Viewer as:

No. I have been having this message for a few weeks. Last time I opened it, I had made a shortcut to a form I had been working on. In prior years, I could create a shortcut to my form so I could open and either switch to designer or add data. That did not work a few weeks ago but at minimal worked on previous dBASE versons on older PCs. The next time I opend dBASE, my dBASE would not execute and received this error. I did try to look at the ini file but did not see anything that could cause an issue.

No. I have never used it. I do not know how to use it.

No, I did not try unhooking it from the internet and turning Defender off. I did try turning off Windows Security App & Browser control, Reputation-based protection ("These settings protect your device from malicious or potentially unwanted apps, files, and website."). Turning those settings off did  nothing. I can try turning off the Defender.
