BDE Aliases, which are created using BDEAdministrator outside of dBASE,
and User BDE Aliases, which are created in dBASE, are used to by
database and query objects to give access to .dbf files which may well
be in different folders to programs. Connection Aliases are created in
dBASE and are used to access ODBC connections to SQL servers.
Source Aliases are used to give access to source code in other folders.
There is no conflict.
Mervyn.
