Tom,

If you're concerned with the speedtip, it might be because of the
hardware complexity, because when I first ran your form, I didn't see
the speedtip even when I pushed the button, it wasn't until I re-read
your use case problem, that I then went and looked for the Calendar...
tip, and sure enough it showed up, but only when I was over it for a
certain amount of time in the proper spot.

I suspect that the area is so small that, perhaps, on your hardware,
it's not sending the message fast enough and when you move the mouse,
it's already too late and cancelling.

Don't consider it unresolved, but do take note. I had more than a little
confusion following your code of creating an object as the child of an
entryfield with it's onOpen() event and found it to be a bit, complex.
Especially when you assigned an object reference (o.This) to the
entryfield and made re-reference to the form, when just changing the
code to read as form.colorNormal would have sufficed.

It seems a bit tortured.  It may be that torturing of objects that has
made the reaction of the code a little more complex and error prone on
your setup, especially with UI being, say a little slower on your
emulator than a native machine.  If you want this to succeed in your
environment which is at the minimum, a non-standard setup, you need to
work a little harder because of that difference, to understand what is
happening. We can't, we don't do what you're doing, though I'm sure
there are some here that are using VM's to run the software.
