A couple things to look at as well ...: _app.allowYieldOnMsg := true     // allow dBASE to interact better with Windows ... the default is false Inside the while loop, add:     _app.executeMessages() Again, forcing it to interact with Windows ... The first is the most important one, try it first by itself.
