If something stops working it means something has changed. If you
haven't changed your source code then something has changed either in
dBASE itself or Windows. If you are using virus protection software
(You should be. :-) ) then this is also a possibility. It could also be
a memory issue. Windows has a program that can check the memory for
you. A quick Google will tell you how to do this.
As the form works in the IDE, dBASE itself is the least likely suspect.
Perhaps the first thing to try after you have checked the memory is
switch off the virus protection and see if this makes a difference.
The next thing to try is to replace the dBASE runtime program. You can
fetch a copy from https://www.dbase.com/support/updates-and-fixes/
If that doesn't help have a look at the Windows update history. At
least one user has reported having to remove an update which was
upsetting dBASE. Mind you, my computer had the same update installed
and I had no problems.
If any updates were made just before the program stopped working, you
could try reversing them out. I am, however, hesitant to suggest this
as you could cause Windows to stop working.
I'm glad to see you have released the CapsLock key for you messages.
Please do the same for the subject line when you next post a message.
