Try this:
? _app.iniFile
This will give you, in the Command Window output pane a path.
Run the mouse THROUGH that path, and copy it -- the full thing (Ctrl+C).
Close dBASE.
Using Windows File Explorer, navigate to that path, find "PLUS.INI".
Rename it or delete it.
Restart dBASE. The .INI file will be re-created. See if that resolves
the problem before you reinstall (which, if this is a .ini file issue,
may not solve it).
