Even so, any comment would be appreciated. Thanks, Norman I am also a hobby programmer only. Try requestlive = false for query and autoedit = false for rowset. This should make the query readonly and hence solve the issue for now. This may throw an error where you are unintentionally changing the value and hence provide a permenant solution. Alternatively search for field["name"].value in the form and check if you are unintentionally changing the value somewhere. Regards Akshat
