There's a list of reserved words in the help file and yes, "value" is in
the list.
As has been pointed out, using reserved words as field names is not a
good idea and you should consider Lee's idea and rename the field. This
does, of course, mean that you will also need to revise any code that
accesses the field.
The reserved words are words that SQL uses. The old XDML had no problem
with using reserved words as fieldnames when USE opened a table in a
workarea. The new OODML uses localSQL to access query objects and this
is where the problems arise.
That said, it is usually possible to get around the problems caused by
using a reserved word as a fieldname. If you feel that changing the
fieldname is going to be too much work give us details of what is
causing problems.
