The email address you provide will appear in messages you post in the
newsgroup. This address could possibly be collected by a SpamBot so it
is usual to include NoSpam (or something similar) in the address. The
idea is to make it possible for humans to figure out but difficult for
machines. I've used invalid@invalid.invalid which should deter even the
most determined machine. :-) If I want someone to have my email address
I'll hide it in a message with at instead of @ and dot instead of the
point.
Leave the Reply-to address blank. It is only really relevant for emails
where you want replies in a separate inbox or if you expect (and will
accept) an email reply to a message in the newsgroup. If anyone uses the
"Follow up" button to reply to your messages in the newsgroup the reply
will wind up in the newsgroup where we can all see it.
