Unfortunately you can't "reverse engineer" the compiled files.

dBASE does, however create a back-up copy of each sourcecode file as you
open it for editing.  The names of these files begin with "Backup of ".
They don't show in the Navigator but they are available.

With dBASE closed, use the Windows File Explorer to find the backup copy
of a missing file.  Right-click on the file and use the Rename option.
You then need to redo the last updates.

This incident highlights the importance of having an up-to-date backup
of not only all data but of sourcecode as well.  The backups can be on
on the same drive to make recovery from an "oops" like this simple.

A backup must, however, also be on separate media.  If your harddrive
had failed you would now probably be starting the entire project from
scratch.  It is possible, but there is no guarantee, to recover
information from a crashed disk but it doesn't come cheap and it can
take time.

You should also keep a backup off-site in case of, heaven forbid, a fire
or burglary.

Compiled files can be recreated but sourcecode and data can be
irreplaceable.
