There is only one instance of dBase in memory. The CPU usage is always very low (when i start dBase plus, when i work with all the tools of the dBase IDE, when i start the app, when i close the app). But when i try to open a file in source code editor after exited from the app the CPU usage goes to 30% for 1 minute and the task manager writes "waiting for an answer" in the meanwhile. I tried even without antivirus but it's the same. Of course no problem with 2.62 version (my favourite one). I have no problem working with the dBase IDE, files always open quickly, except after i exit from the app, i have to wait 1 minute, then everything goes well, or better i prefere close and reopen dBase, is faster. I have been working with dBase for thirty years (from DBASEIII to dBase2019 through VisualDBase and DB2k) and i never had such an issue, just with dBase2019. I have a very big application, builded in all those years, too layered.
