One thing I have noticed with my computer is that with a very large
(6TB) hard drive, and a startup drive that is smaller, when opening
dBASE when it was working with code/data on the large hard drive, the
drive sometimes goes to sleep. It takes a bit for it to "wake up" and
then it loads, and all is well.
I don't know of course if that is the issue for you. But it is a bit
annoying for me. (However, this is not a dBASE issue if that's the case,
it's just the drive sleeping and then waking up ...)
