Wondering if anyone has explored or attempted doing this before. My company is looking at the possibility of moving network files (on prem) to having users access files in sharepoint. Currently my local dBase tables are on a mapped network drive using the BDE (I'm setting up BDE connections in the startup ini file). I'm also using DEO for my object files so they would like them to access from the sharepoint site as well.
Is this even a possibility?
My program currently is using the duFLP library to add directories, create shortcuts in the network share so I would need to have that ability in sharepoint as well.
I know the BDE is old technology that wasn't further developed before sharepoint sites were around but I also know that sometimes it's amazing how one can be creative.
I would appreciate any guidance or comments others would have.
Thanks,
Gary
