Subject longer number fields From Charlie <tm@tc.com> Date Wed, 04 Aug 2021 22:32:15 -0400 Newsgroups dbase.getting-started Is there a way to prevent longer numbers from doing something like this?  3932E +12.  I have a 15 non-decimal number field that can take a number like 123456789123  and turn it into 123456000000 when replacing with another long number. a.fields["idno"].value = af where af and idno are 11 or 12 digit numbers. Thanks for any help
