(A)  Sorry, I will only post in one group from now on.  I was concerned that maybe some people follow only one newsgroup; others follow another, etc.

(B)  The bottom line is that:

Bottom line is I am looking for someone to do an online / remote session with me, ( paid, of course ) ,   to walk me through / "hand-hold" me as I do these 4 things:
    Install dBase 2019
Copy the forms and reports from the old dBase Plus to 2019.
Compile / link / build those forms and reports.
Create an exe that can run on any PC on my network, with just the run-time, nothing else installed on it

Is this something you think you would be able and willing to do?   Or, if not, is there someone or a couple of people you could recommend, that I could reach out to?

Once I understand something, I am pretty good at working independently, but I am just not good at bootstrapping myself.

So I really need this help.

In terms of detail / background:

(C)   Our entire company's "back office" runs on dBase -   the old dbase.
Time tracking , invoicing, payroll ... all run with dBase.

It is just not viable to have our new young people running old dbase forms.  The two forms that were developed under dBase Plus 10 were intended to provide a gui that young people would be comfortable with.

I was not the one who successfully installed dBase Plus,  nor was I the one who developed the code.   ( We are only talking about two forms and two reports, actually. )
[ I am not concerned that the code will run.   I am sure it will.  ]
I am concerned running into snags ( specifically, configuration specifics ) installing.
I am concerned about not being clear about what to move, what to pick up, etc.
And I never compiled / linked / built this code  myself.

I am also concerned about configuration issues when I install dBase 2019.   This code is intended to run with old dbase files from my a very old set of dbase files, I believe they are level 4.   I think somewhere I will need to specify that the default is for level 4.
I also recall when I tried installing dBase Plus myself myself, I had trouble specifying BDE, etc.  And I had to get help from dBase LLC.
