Also to make sure I understood correctly, the file was created with dBase for DOS version 5, but you are editing it in dBase 2019 build 2618B, and you can create the index on a Windows 10 PC for that file but not on a Windows 7 PC with the same version of dBase2019 and the same file? -- Gaetano.
