If the e-mail copy is on your telecom provider webmail portal and not in
Thunderbird client e-mail, then the issue is in Thunderbird.
Mailto would indeed use the default email client defined on the local
computer. The advantage of mv_mail is you can use it on a web server
without having an email account defined there, and without human
interaction to click the send button while mailto requires both an
installed email client and human interaction to send the e-mail.
If the e-mail is in your Sent folder on the webmail portal but doesn't
get downloaded to your local Thunderbird client, there should be no need
to bcc yourself. I would check the folder synchronisation settings instead.
