Hi

It was the ini file deleting that helped.

I also vote for permission problem with the BDE. Possible I need to get administrator to uninstall/install dbase as my own local administrator rights may not be sufficient.

But Thanks for help!

I can run it as local administrator and start dbase but if I use an other account I get error message: error loading idapi32.dll. So this dll is there but only local admin account access it. I have installed dbase as local administrator. How to solve this?

In one computer dbase 9 runs but dbase 12 starts (shows the logo) but then fades (shows on toolbar as running). In second computer dbase 12 runs fine and in third it crashes when I start running programs (both dbase 12 and 2019) but starts and works from command promt atleast to some degree. As this has emerged in recent moths I believe it is related to windows or virus protection.
