You don't make the problem absolutely clear so let's have a go at this
from a different angle.
In the "Desktop properties" dialogue form there aren't actually any file
names displayed. The "Source Aliases", "User BDE Aliases" and
"Connection Aliases" tabs show aliases which represent folders. These
are kept in the inifile in sections named [SourcePath], [UseBDEAliases]
and [Connections]. You can edit the inifile but this must be done with
dBASE closed. It is easier to simply use the "Remove" button on each
tab to remove the aliases one by one.
