Hi Mervyn,
This is just to test the functionality of storing the ADO
connectionstring in an INI file for an ADO database. As noted earlier in
the conversation, this is not a good practice because it stores the
credentials and server details "in plain sight", but the functionality
is there...
If the purpose is to store the connection details in a central location,
a CDM is a much better option with just about the same number of lines
of "code" than the ini file option and the added bonus that the
credentials and server details cannot be viewed once built into the EXE
(not in plain text anyway).
