lI've decided to abandon VFP/VPM/Software Passport since these programs are no longer supported. I've decided to milk what I already got out there since I'm earning a nice imcome with the subscription renewal.
I'm replicating a Used Car Bill of Sale by attempting to rewrite it in dBASE and already I'm having problems. But I'm going to persevere instead of giving up like I did before.
I've started by doing all the tables. Now I need to start with the Single Record Form that hold the company information. With my previous programming language, i simply chose a template of a Single Record Form with 2 buttons ... an OK that saves customers data and CANCEL which closes the form without saving anything.
I can't find anything in the help file to allow me to simply save the record in the OK button and allow me to close form gracefully with the close button.
Also, I've come to the realization that I'm going to have to reinvent the wheel every morning.
I'm 77 years old and I don't want to spend the next 2 year working on reinventing a wheel, is there a sample program anywhere that I can get to help my learning curve?
Thanks for the help,
Joe
