As I understand it, Adobe Reader CD doesn't come with an activeX
component at all.

If you really want to use Adobe then download and install Adobe Reader
XI which will also install the activeX component.

Personally, I prefer Foxit to Adobe as a PDF reader.  Foxit does come
with an ActiveX.
