Paul,

As Rich says you may well get a better response posting in the dbdos newsgroup.
However I can summarise the process as:

1) install dbdos on your new machine
2) copy all your dbase4 folders from the old machine into the new machine
3) run the dbase pro 6 easy config program (selecting the old dbase IV exe file)
4) double-click on the config file that gets generated.

This will run the dbDOS emulator on your new machine opening a dos style window.
From that point you run it as normal.

Using the config generator program (not the "easy" one) you can just open DOS emulators
starting in any folder, which are then designated as C:\ or D:\ or whatever you like and run
any DOS program you want... it does not have to be dbase IV.

I hope that helps,
Andy
