Mervyn probably has pointed you more correctly at the right command -- I
was trying to do this off the top of my head, which these days isn't
always a good idea.

If you're using dBASE 5 for DOS, you should be using the dBASE/DOS
newsgroup, I am pretty sure there is one.

You should also be used to looking things up in help.

use tablename
count for "pinterminal" $ name to nCount
? nCount
use // close table
