Ed,
1) Are you saying that when you do, say, inspect(_app) from the command window the program editor appears?
2) If the object inspector loses the columns it means it has given up on analysing that object probably because of lack of resources or a fundamental error on object structure. I have seen it occasionally and usually when I've tried doing something unusual like adding parent properties to custom objects. When that happens I close dBase and reopen and stop doing the weird stuff. Can you reliably reproduce this problem?
