I've been using dBASE since dBASE II in the early 1980's and I've never
seen that error message. It isn't even in the list of error messages in
the dBASE Plus 11.3 help file.
If you can open other .dbf files on the p: mapped drive I have no idea
why you can't open pharm.dbf.
What version of dBASE for DOS are you using?
You could try copying the table to a new file using dBASE for DOS. If
that doesn't work try exporting the data to a .csv file, create a new
table in dBASE Plus and import the .csv file.
