Hi Guys,

I have had few clients with Windows 10 tablets and today it happened to me.

When running the dbase software they are getting the "Registry entry missing or access denied" error message and the software will not run. The answer on the DBase website didnt help.

A Windows 10 Security Update tags Plusrun.exe as a virus and deletes it immediately.

I am shocked considering how Dbase is tied to the Windows platform. This happened only yesterday 13/01/2018. Nortons, Avg and Trend Micro, do not pick it up as a virus but Windows defender does.

Has this happened to anyone else yet?
If so how do we inform dbase Inc to look into it.
Why does it think its a virus?

To get around it, You have to add the folder your program is running in as an exception and turn off real time virus protection.

I am using a brand new Dell XPS top end i7 with Dbase 11 and Windows 10. Over the past week there has been a plethera of updates from windows, now i cannot even shut down my computer and I get a Blue tooth security tag user popup on login I cant get rid of and its moved all my data files to some obscure area.

I generally run our software unders window 7. it is far more stable. Running under windows 10 has been a real pain. Needless to say, I am not impressed with Windows 10 at all.

Hope this helps anyone one else.

Regards,

Michael.
