I'm afraid dBASE IV is an old 16bit DOS pogram and the later versions of
Windows just can't run it without a bit of help. Fortunately dBase LLC
markets a product called dbDOS Pro 6 which will allow you to run 16 bit
programs (not just old versions of dBASE) using the latest version of
Windows. Have a look at dbdos.com
Mervyn.
