What happens is that the moment you change a file google drive or any
other cloud sync software tries to upload the file, During that time the
file becomes read only and hence the error. And this error sticks for
some time, It is due to trying to access the file while cloud version is
being updated or not I do not know.

When we restart the file is uploaded  or readonly tag removed I cannot
say for sure.

I had also faced the same error when I added the development directory
to google backup.

Now I work in say c:\mydirectory and have google drive in say
c:\users\....\google drive....
I use Goodsync to synchronise the files between google drive folder and
working directory(It compares the last modified time and copies the
updated files only not all the files). Try a evaluation period of
goodsync from goodsync.com Extremely helpful in taking backups.
