Hello Steve,
In my old version 2.01 and windows 8, I had some difficulties with the Borland DBE engine. I installed dBase in c:\dBase and I download and I installed a new BDE and it works.
Maybe you can try.
Regards,
Bernard.

Now, I can't create a table because I always get the "Field name error" message no matter what field name I use. I also used an existing table in the dBase Samples directory, the table opens, but won't allow me to change or modify the field names. Does anyone know if this is a dBase vs Windows version issue?
