Um, a .FIL is not a standard dBASE file extension. Don't know where you
got that from.

I see some info here:

Never heard of it and I've been using dBASE for many years.

According to Wikipedia:

If it is indeed from the *OLD* Application File Generator, it's just a
list of files ... not sure how or why you would need to convert it to
anything, as it would be probably meaningless these days.
